All materials and matter have an origin. Transported by ocean waves and wind, sand is a departure of minerals that derive from the coast. In its’ defiance, all life is connected through tangible usage.  


Si & O2 is a photographic adventure that explores the idea of coexistence. It follows an object of refraction that represents life and creation. Through harvest and production, a prism is left in different environmental conditions in order to explore the complex relationship that people have with natural materials. Si & O2 aims to speculate human usage but also the life that humans share with the world.
